From a student missing home to building Prithvi Mart
I am Kartik Sharma. I moved from India to Canada as a student in 2019, and while living there I started missing the Indian products that had always been part of everyday life: Ayurveda, sweets, snacks, wellness essentials, and the familiar comfort of home.
I was also deeply connected to yoga and meditation, which made me more inclined toward Ayurveda, organic products, and natural wellness. But finding authentic Indian products abroad was not easy. The options were limited, the sourcing was unclear, and the products I trusted back home were often hard to access.
By 2022, after repeatedly struggling to find the right authentic products, I started Prithvi Mart to bridge that gap. We began by piloting in Canada, then expanded to serve customers in more countries. Today, Prithvi Mart helps people abroad shop trusted Indian products and also supports families through student care packages.
